Okay, it might be true that being arrogant, rude and abusive makes some internet marketers a heap of money.
But it's still not right. And I'd hate to see that trend take off among home based business owners who hope to emulate the mega-bucks earning power of these guys.
Anything for a buck? Not for me. I hope not for you either.
‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Personally I think that's a great way to do business too.
There is a rich guy (he even boasts of being a jerk) who has developed an internet persona that seems to me to be getting worse the more money he makes. After the last X-rated email from him, I removed myself from his mailing list so if he ever changes his style I will have to read about it from others.
Regrettably a handful of clones have copied his scathing formula. Apparently being vulgar and debasing helps them make money, but it is not my style. And personally I hope it's not yours.
As home business owners, we have the opportunity to treat our customers the right way.
With dignity.
With respect.
With helpfulness.
We can excel in the personal touch.
We can be genuine.
We can be friendly and caring.
As a home business owner, especially at the start, you may not have that many customers that you can afford to treat any of them like dirt, but what I am suggesting is that we build customer respect into the fabric of the way we do things.
Get it right from the beginning, then when you're financially successful you will still treat people just the way you'd like to be treated.
Finally, a suggestion...

The Home Business Choice: Product Creation or Affiliate Marketing?
If a well known and successful internet marketer takes a strong stand on one side or the other of this question, would it help you? Would it help you choose a direction for your home business?
If so, please read on because I'd like to bring you up to speed on an enlightening discussion at the Warrior Forum recently. This is where internet marketers including home based business owners get together online. Even though there is much to wade through at the forum, some golden advice is dispensed at times.
The question was whether affiliate marketing or product creation was best.
"Andrew" (not his real name but let's call him that - he gave his real name, by the way) shared the fact that he had paid out a FIVE FIGURE SUM in affiliate commissions last month. That means his sales figures last month were at least $20,000 if he is paying commissions of 50%.
Maybe they sold a whole lot more than $20K too.
With sales figures like this, and the fact that he uses his own name at the Warrior forum, Andrew has immense credibility.
So I paid special attention to what he said:
* Product owners would prefer you focus on affiliate marketing because you will promote THEIR products.
* Product owners don't want any NEW COMPETITION, so they encourage you to promote their stuff rather than create your own.
Not ice that in all of this, there's nothing about what is best for YOU.
Andrew made the point that ALL his highest earning affiliates are either experts in their fields or they have their own products or services which they are selling.
So... his recommendation is simple:
Create your own products. And also supplement the income that comes from them with affiliate recommendations. But creating your own products is #1.
Finally, a suggestion...
