Abusive Marketers Are A Major Turn-Off

Okay, it might be true that being arrogant, rude and abusive makes some internet marketers a heap of money.

But it's still not right. And I'd hate to see that trend take off among home based business owners who hope to emulate the mega-bucks earning power of these guys.

Anything for a buck? Not for me. I hope not for you either.

‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Personally I think that's a great way to do business too.

There is a rich guy (he even boasts of being a jerk) who has developed an internet persona that seems to me to be getting worse the more money he makes. After the last X-rated email from him, I removed myself from his mailing list so if he ever changes his style I will have to read about it from others.

Regrettably a handful of clones have copied his scathing formula. Apparently being vulgar and debasing helps them make money, but it is not my style. And personally I hope it's not yours.

As home business owners, we have the opportunity to treat our customers the right way.

With dignity.

With respect.

With helpfulness.

We can excel in the personal touch.

We can be genuine.

We can be friendly and caring.

As a home business owner, especially at the start, you may not have that many customers that you can afford to treat any of them like dirt, but what I am suggesting is that we build customer respect into the fabric of the way we do things.

Get it right from the beginning, then when you're financially successful you will still treat people just the way you'd like to be treated.
